Brain Zone

There's no such thing as a necro in the Brain Zone. Invalidation's locks are killing discussion. Activity is dropping in this forum for a reason.

If you have a problem with moderation, then it needs to be taken up with the forum administration via the contact page at the bottom, or on IRC, or, in a PM to them if you'd like. This is the place for suggestions on the layout and overal functionality of the forum, not your personal grudges with the moderators.

Further posts such as this, in ANY point of the forum are not, and will not be tolerated.

Obviously threads that have had no replies for months on end are dead because of moderation?

What exactly is wrong with making a new post on an old thread when something new happens in relation to a topic? Or even just people want to talk about it again? If a thread is necro'd is by definition active again.

I'm with Johno on this one. There's a similar arrangement on another forum I frequent, where "brainy" discussion threads are left open for posting, in case there are further discoveries or developments in regards to the discussion topics. So instead of making a new thread when there's a new development in Syria, for example, you can just post in an old thread associated with Syria, if there is one.

A necro'd thread is a necro'd thread, not an active one. It is distinct from an active thread by the lengthy period of being dead/inactive.
