Suggestion - "No PD" group
« on: January 17, 2013, 07:50:52 am »
Not everyone wants to see Mantle, Goku and others arguing endlessly. The last thing people may want to see if countless threads on their feed. Not everyone supports the backwards politics that occurs here either. So yeah, requesting a group to be created to block Public Discussion from appearing completely.

Seeing as Kumnaa has clarified that it is the MoLA's duty to make sure PD doesn't go to hell, I don't need to continue looking in there every now and again. However, as I said, not everyone wants to see the disgrace that goes on in there.

It might actually help people see that arguing is not the best solution.

Not bickering is an excellent solution; cutting yourself from the processes of debate is a terrible one :p
<Guitah> not arguing with a Brit about tea is tha sensible thing to do :)
<Appleby> it is common knowledge it is pointless arguing with an addict :p
<Appleby> thus it is pointless arguing about tea with brits

It's not debate, it's toys being thrown out the pram. Tell me when there is something decent going on in PD and I'd join in. Right now, it's bawwwwww.

Just as it has the capacity to be a troll minefield, it also has the capacity to bring positive discussion and reform for the eUK.

It's just currently people seem to be more intent on the former rather than latter and so long as this 'one-up' mentality is continued we will almost willingly sleepwalk into another wipe

We are sleep walking into another wipe but why should I bother contribution and advising on foreign affairs stuff when it is never heeded? People in PD can whine, baw and argue without people if this is put into place.

Instead of creating a special group that doesn't see PD, a better solution is to make PD a sub forum of Bill Boblo's House

It is still important that you voice your objections (if they are grounded) so that that may be taken into account or at the very least hindsight, particularly if you have ministerial experience
