Stuff added since the map was generated & explored
« on: August 02, 2015, 05:24:08 pm »
So I just found out Granite and all that stuff exists, but diorite and anything else will presumably only be spawned in areas not been explored for a while, so is there any easy way around this or is it a matter of having to go out and look for the new stuff? Kinda sucks. :(

Frankly there is no real need for a reset.

If you just want a new area to build with the new blocks, go travel far far away like we all did when the server first opened.

The only reason I would want a new map is maybe to plan a proper build, something I would need an extremely large amount of sea for.

We could implement some kind of warp/teleport using command blocks system to get across the map to a new area easier.

There is no need for a reset, in fact a fair few would be pretty miffed if that happened :)

Ah the map reset discussion again....

While it's always nice to have a fresh looking map, what would it actually achieve? Activity for a month perhaps, before we end right back here again discussing another map reset...?

A new Townton that ends up like all the others? (Half built and abandoned) as everyone moves out/becomes inactive?

I'm happy to do it BUT only if the MAJORITY agree to it, and principally I'd like to hear from the "active" ones of late which from the logs shows as Me, Mitte, Artela, Jude, Darqen, Embulbee, CorbinFTW & LongShotzz.

In addition wouldn't with the changes it be worth leaving till v1.9 is released anyway as with the changes in that coming, it would likely need another reset anyway...

Things become half build and abandoned because there is never any planning or agreement about people's plans and space.
I've started a build, come back a weekend later and had someones hut in the middle of it.

If we do restart, I would like to be part of some kind of large team build if people want to do that.

Restart with 1.9 would be the best imho. I will not be super active either way so my oppinion is of limited value.

You know I am game for that but do you really see it happening with people that cab't stick around for more than a month to build? But if we do it should maybe be creative rather than vanilla

I am another of the fair few. As far as I'm aware the rest of the Joy Division people feel the same after the effort we've been putting in month in and month out. Think I'd be fairly upset if people who appear for a few weeks then disappear for months on end got their way on this issue :P

Month in month out?

The server hasn't been back that long lmfao.

If we could break up the little clique and actually have some server-wide games and cooperation that might help the activity.

Well, excuse me for including all the damn work we did before the slight break.

What's wrong? Your little clique not really active any more?
Instead of criticizing people who are mostly active and playing how they like to play, why not go recruit some people who might b interested in playing how you like to play?
