Forum announcements
« on: August 09, 2013, 06:41:04 pm »
Shouldn't there be an announcement about how, after sacking Frerk for doing nothing for weeks and weeks, he was immediately reinstated because he noticed and decided to return?  And now Butjam (the guy who has kinda held it all together) has been sacked as admin.

Bit of a shambles to say the least.

My understanding was that butjam was a stand in while Frerk was busy (and kumnaa generally giving no fucks). That is no longer the case, cue the return of Frerk.

It makes no sense to rescind the bloke that's actually been admin'ing.

Butjam deserves a bit more than to be hard shouldered for his efforts
<Guitah> not arguing with a Brit about tea is tha sensible thing to do :)
<Appleby> it is common knowledge it is pointless arguing with an addict :p
<Appleby> thus it is pointless arguing about tea with brits

Oh you are a funny little thing. I have made an announcement for you.

It makes no sense to rescind the bloke that's actually been admin'ing.

It's ok, I've not killed him or anything. His help is greatly appreciated and no doubt one day his services maybe required again if he wishes to offer them.

lol, the drama continues...

It is Dan's job to create drama!

You're creating it with the revolving door system for admin appointment.  I'm just pointing it out.

Frerk is lazy until he gets sacked but he seems to have a way of winning you over.

Another possibility is that you could not know much about what you're talking about.

Surely people "not knowing what is going on" is indicative of poor communication from the mod team.

Also Digby, can you please stop being so snide, if you haven't got something constructive to say please go back to BBH. Believe it or not as a "global moderator" it's not your job to come here and be a dick.

No, that actually isn't a possibility.  I'm the one telling everyone else what's going on because you lot didn't.

Well, I'm sorry, but when someone gets pent up about something trivial and consistently bangs on about how much of a shambles everything is and how it's all falling apart it's worth pointing out that actually there's a lot more going on that he won't know about or care to consider.

Or, it could just be a shambles, which it is.

K.

I don't know what I was expecting bothering trying to point such a thing out, I'll leave you in peace to make threads and complain about silly things in future.

You are still doing it. Look at your last post:

>Judges a complaint as trivial without addressing it at all -> dismissive and unprofessional
>Response is "you don't know what you're talking about" -> calling opponent ignorant without explaining why

Basically you are not arguing your case, you're just insulting the person in the hope they go away. That's childish playground behaviour. It's certainly not what you'd expect from a community leader.

Actually, what I was trying to go for was "maybe you shouldn't just make threads calling things a shambles and instead ask someone relevant or point it out in a normal way, because your account of events (after sacking Frerk for doing nothing for weeks and weeks, he was immediately reinstated because he noticed and decided to return) and (Frerk is lazy until he gets sacked but he seems to have a way of winning you over) aren't accurate."

The gist of it was dismissive and pointing out ignorance, because that's entirely the point. It's hardly appropriate to make a thread calling things a shambles and coming up with your own conclusions about what's happened and then complain about them.
