UK Average Salary
« on: August 17, 2014, 06:32:38 pm »
I decided to do a little digging to see what was going on with the work tax thing, and it seems the UK is unique in having a ballooning average salary.

No other country is having the same issue as us, and today's MoF article postulates a wealthy individual paying someone a vast amount to inflate the figure.

So, there's a poll attached and a discussion to be had: Do we think Alfagrem, the most likely suspect, is deliberately increasing the average wage for his own ends?

Are these ends dastardly, political, beneficial, what?

Someone is transfering multi account gold via the job market to hide the transaction from the game moderators.

Likely money market and direct donations are being watched.

How about jamesw moving the treasury to a new account?

I can't think of any other plausable explaination. The Alfagrem stuff is just paranoid and stupid.

No, it's tongue in cheek :3

Good point about jamesw, he could well be using his ill-gotten gains here.

The most logical would be as Goku said, and it's jamesw transferring money rather than it being Alfagrem.

eUK wages are inflated by Alfa paying his workers 100c+, but its not anywhere near enough to cause what is happening.  This is a large amount of cash being wasted.

I suspect Big_Ant or someone else is trying to crash the economy.

He's giving 10000-50000cc salary to an accomplice (Dapper). Dapper is giving him back all money except what was paid for taxes. Rinse and repeat. As the average wage is rising so does the cost of manager work go up. As a result, people stop working and fire their workers. Loss of jobs results in less clicks and the average wage will soon sky-rocket and hardly anyone will be producing anything.

Someone in the government with a platinum status should send a ticket to admins quickly and ask them to do something about it because it's a really dumb rule that can be exploited.

The other solution is to quickly propose a 25% work tax law that would be in power for few days. It wouldn't be felt so much on mid-income wages but whoever is doing this, would lose a lot of cash.

More likely to work than the ticket! If it doesn't calm down in a few days I'll organise to do exactly that.

Unfortunately, it will only get worse. People will have to stop aluminum production (which makes the most clicks) and the number of clicks per day will drop each day more and more, making the average sky-rocket.

Wat. I'm already paying 330GBP a day in WAM tax. If this is what is at 2% you'll kill me :3

Shit what did I just pay then?

Can somebody explain how work tax is calculated please? I've never been quite sure.

Average salary over past 30 days * work tax * number of companies I believe.

So in Poland it's 30.96 * 0.04 * x = 1.23cc per company

In UK it is 202.76 * 0.01 * x = 2.02cc per company

I sent a ticket

I suggest lots of people send tickets.  Makes it more likely that someone will deal with it one way or another.

Ok - i've stopped producing!

If more people take low paid jobs at say 0.1cc will that start to make a difference?  If so then rather than people stopping work we need more workers at very low salary

Not really, it'd take 100s doing that to make up for one 100k salary.

its not really that important, just carry on as normal with somewhat higher taxes untill they either get bored or run out of money
