Checking for multies
« on: August 09, 2013, 09:11:21 pm »
According to the public ban log, no-one has been banned since April.  In general, that's fine but it makes me wonder if anyone actually checks for forum multies anymore, since we used to find them all the time.

We've been discussing this quite a bit recently since there's been a consistent stream of new registers and we are checking, yes.

Yes, we still do check for multis. The only major change we've made is that we no longer ban spambots and the likes, we just remove them.

Edit: I'd like to add that the bar for being permabanned as a suspected multi is quite high at the moment, mostly because if you permanently ban a suspected multi who is not actually a multi will probably shun them.

I have been looking quite regularly.

I am keeping an eye out, if you have/see anything or any evidence to support a multi claim, I will always look into it.

I could give you a list of multi forum accounts...  Would mean digging through my old UKPP files though.
