Visible Usergroups
« on: June 10, 2013, 05:11:13 pm »
Would love for all groups to be visible, so we can see all the ones we're in. As it is, I only see the 'organizational' groups, which doesn't include my party or the Court (which should be open as it's meant to be requestable).

As far as I know they are all visible.

That's currently all groups with moderators. And yes, I still have to do most of the moderators ^___^

Well, that's nice to see...but I meant the 'visible' radial button being the one chosen on the membergroup admin side page. That way it shows on the http://forums.erepublik.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;area=groupmembership;u=6776 page.

But yea, thanks.

You must go to Admin-Members-Member Groups-Settings and select if Regular users/Gmods/Admins can change default usergroup or not

That's not for default member groups, that's for changing all member groups and related settings.

When the forums changed it deleted all my groups, unactivated my account and generally made it impossible for me to log in.

Thanks Frerk.

I fail to see the problem ;)

Edit: I can see the "registered users" groups and the public ones only. I can't see UKRP for example... maybe you can cause you're an admin Frerk?  :s

I've got nothing to do with that, and I can't help it if the forum software hates you. You could have queried me though, then I could have fixed it. That's what the "Message us if you run into any problems" was for.

Is it possible to see a list of members who are in each usergroup?

Why would that be anyone's business but the group mod?

I want the list visible so people can set their defaults to whatever they want.

Basically. People need to be held to account for their actions and we need defence against PTO.

Now someone could get membership of several party forums (which was not allowed on old forums) to organise dirty tricks.

If multiple parties give them access, what does it matter, and again...whose business is it but the people assigning access? They're responsible for their lists, not you, the self appointed whatever you fancy yourself.

What he's getting at is that those people can't see the other party lists (as before) to make sure the person's not already in another parties forums. It is a valid point.

No it isn't. Either they meet the requirements for board membership or they don't. What goes on in another party isn't any of your business.
