People forget AvB had a good start to the season.

Then the older players realised their heads were on the chopping block and decided to play poorly.

We all know what happens to a Chelsea manager when they're not first in the league...

...

my thoughts about the CL though are did bayern deserve to win? they messed up so many chances were as chelsea took theirs and played their tactic perfectly. The denfensive game was awesome. it might not have been an exciting game but chelsea played it their way...and won

For me, the difference was Robben. He didn't fire on all cylinders like we know he can. If he'd cut in and scored with his signature left-top-corner-curve, would have been over. Still, lolspurs.

My thoughts exactly, This isn't a turning point for Chelsea. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Chelsea manager be first to be sacked next season. They are not splashing the cash and just don't have as much draw as they used to.

Although I agree that Robben is great, he is a very selfish player and never looks up.

The only reason I was as happy as I was when chelsea won was for the simple fact the german national keeper stated "Germans don't miss penalties"

When schweinsteiger hit the post I couldn't stop laughing

Barton fined £75,000 and banned for 12 matches. Fine is nothing, but 12 matches is a shitload.

Clearly not biased. :p

But, yes, very much deserving. Petulant child.

Also, just seen this on Guardian. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/may/23/premier-league-accounts-profit-debt

Fun graphics. The link in the article to the analysis has some interesting points as well.

^_^ Well yes, slightly biased, but I could have gone asking for more if I wanted to be even more biased. :P

I'm not biased and I think he got off lightly given his past record.  There were millions of people across the world watching that game.

Good luck to QPR in their quest to try and get rid of him.

He's suspended for 12 games that leaves him with 26 games to play and what about the suspensions he'll pick up in these matches. He may only play 15 league matches next season.

I know it's crazy. They should never have bought him, he doesn't deserve anymore chances. What he did at that City game is a slap in the face to everyone who stood by him.

They bought him because he's a decent player.

He's just not a nice guy. :P

He gets £75,000 a week anyway doesn't he? Should probably have been a higher fine.
