I used to think that until some of the lads at uni invited me to play
I used to play rugby every week so thought it would be a piece of piss and they killed me, so much speed and power shouldn't be allowed

And yet the American footballers think the rugby players are mad not to wear protective gear.

It's just a girls version of rugby.

The padding is something I haven't got used to yet
But I appreciate it when you can be tackled out of nowhere without the ball
At least when I'm playing Rugby I know theres a chance of me being tackled only with the ball

I like to watch the Super Bowl. I quite enjoy NFL, but I never find it available at a decent time to watch. (Or maybe I just dunno where to watch it.)

I will happily punch myself in the nuts to see #52 retire with a second Super Bowl ring.   :|

...but I can't see us beating the Pats twice in one season.  Falcons vs New England final, IMO.

Ravens vs Broncos game was insane and the Seahawks vs Falcons was insane. Truly on the edge of my seat and I'm not even that big a follower of NFL!

General consensus seems to be that 49ers will steam roll over Falcons next week but of course as always it depends on what team shows up on the day.

Pats and Ravens should be a good game hopefully.

I'm going to say it'll be a Ravens vs 49ers Superbowl.

I think it depends which 49ers show up too but they looked so strong against the Packers, Falcons I'm not sure how they go so far they haven't impressed me massively when I've seen them live (though this is only in the Buccaneers games).

Pats and Ravens I hope will be a classic, I'm looking forward to the superbowl, just hope a pubs got it on somewhere.

As someone who has played football and still plays rugby it takes a certain mindset to play each.  I never got used to the pads in football, but rugby is my true love.

I hope Baltimore wins... it would be nice to see Ray Lewis go out on top.  I think the SF/ATL game will be a good one too.  The Falcons just can't play in the postseason, and I'm pretty sure they'll choke again.

I don't usually watch the NFL, but I watched Seahawks - Falcons, and it was intense. Most fun game of anything I've seen in a while. Personally, I rooted for the Seahawks. I also watched Patriots - Texans, and although it wasn't as exciting, I think the Patriots played well and deserved their win. I'd like to see 49ers and Patriots for the Superbowl.

I well, I don't technically have any commitment to either team, but I like to just pick a team to support before every super bowl, which is pretty much just random based on their name, or who I heard was in it first or something.

Admit it. You picked them because their name is close to "69ers".

Go someone!

I wish I had a quiet enough bar to sit and watch the games, NFL is one of my favourites to watch with someone because of all the downtime you get. Plenty of time to chat and act like you know best between plays. I love real football as much as anybody else but you need to get all your talking done at half time, because if you can manage it at any other you're watching a shit match

I'm a diehard Washington Redskins fan.

My sister's boss has 50 Yard Line (Redskins side of the field) front row "Dream Seats" so we get to go see at least one game every year.

Pity the Redskins aren't all that good and haven't been for years

I'm from Washington, DC and have been a lifetime Skins fan, Ive seen them win 3 superbowls and have some awful seasons as well. Mostly since Dan snyder purchased the team in 1999. It seems that he has finally allowed some honest to goodness football people take over and I feel we are on the right track again.

I'm a former american football player and now i train wide receivers in my former team; american football is something you can't describe honestly until you don't try it; in my lyfe i played table tennis, volley, soccer, rugby, tennis, bowling and many other things you can call "sports", but never i felt close to my teammates like in american football. There's always someone willing to throw himself against a 300 pounds defensive end at your place, only to let you gain some additional yards, and same as them you feel immortal and you put yourself in an angry 4 men fight because your team need to gain some additional inches.
You live for your teammates, they live for you!

Rumors coming from USA are about a franchise (dunno which one) moving to London and playing there for an entire season, in 2015 or 2016; i pray this will happen as soon as possible, because i will be one of the first "season ticketers" of that franchise!

Talked briefly during a Baltimore game that was shown on sky about a franchise being set up in the UK, most likely London, and while it might be interesting to see I doubt it will happen cause I can't see everyone agreeing to hop across the Atlantic every week.

My guess it will be Jacksonville moving to play a Fulham, same ownership.

Hopping across the Atlantic isn't an issue same sort of distance between east and west coasts.

I doubt if London would have any Monday night or Thursday games the kick off would be way to late.
