Title: Stop chopping topics up
Post by: Iain Keers on January 12, 2013, 11:41:51 am
Dear admins,

I understand (and approve) that if a topic goes off-topic but still relevant it's split rather than locked. But seriously, it's confusing sometimes where you're slipping posts in and out of topics and putting them at the beginning/end/middle of existing threads. I don't even know what's going on anymore.

Yours,

Iain

Perhaps it would be helpful if certain users in a position of authority who are meant to be managing said threads and should know better did not derail threads, Goku.

I apologise for all of the conversations happening, I appeal to everyone to go back to being filing cabinets and stop being humans. Thank you.

I have to agree with Keers - some of it makes no sense as they're replies to posts that weren't also split.

Well if it annoys you then it would be very nice if some people would stop attacking each other on every small point they can find. It's not as messy as people going full off-topic having multiple simultaneous discussions in one thread.

Considering that (and I am assuming this) it was the MPP with Australia thread, that I've not even posted in or read once since it was opened, this is a bit of a harsh reply to direct at me.

Just saying, if somethings going to be split, at least do it so that it makes sense after.

I'm saying this to everybody in general, your post just happened to be the last one made. Goku has been informed of(and agreed to) the fact that it's the MoLA's job to make sure it's all nice and tidy, and that if he didn't do it, we would.

Admin complained to me about there being too much spam >>>>

Now Goku cleans it, he gets more crap laughable. You ask him and others to start using the forums again. They have but since they returned you have only given this guy grief... You wonder why people quit UK

At least now that we have established Goku will not do his job the mods know they can prevent derails sooner without considering that they should allow a dedicated person to do it, making PD far more pleasant and useful. I suppose its handy that we're here to cover for his unwillingness, incompetence and lack of dedication.

BigAnt - Goku didn't clean it, the mod team has to because he is unwilling and actually causes a lot of the mess anyway.

No he's not. If he was then there would be no reason for us to be involved. Before blaming us you might want to consider what your MoLA is actually posting.

actually as MoLA his job is to clean congress areas, I saw 4 active threads all are/where perfectly fine and did not need cleaning

its more PD and Minecraft which is the admin and gmods job, so lay off him and do your actual job

I am doing my actual job, thank you very much. I advise you and Goku to do the same. If Goku doesn't deal with PD then we will. It's as simple as that.

Iain and Mantle, I'll tell the moderators to try to be a bit more careful to prevent it from becoming inane.
