Title: Rules & Administration
Post by: Kumnaa on May 28, 2013, 08:49:42 am
Good morning!

As most of you have probably noticed, the recent "relaxed rules" have been a bit of a flop. The admins made too many assumptions about people on the internet behaving like adults so we've now reverted back to the old forum rules, which try to state exactly how to post, with a couple of tweaks!

At the same time I'm removing some of the top heaviness of the forums and reducing the number of admins to two (not including Nel). Both Butjam and Prof Moriarty are being moved down to Global Moderators and Butjam will continue with his little 'butjammernaughts' project. I'd like to point out that is not because of anything they've done (Prof Moriarty hasn't had a chance to do anything wrong yet!) and is just part of updating the structure for the much fewer visitors we have compared to when we set it up many years ago.

Thanks,

Kumnaa

To settle this, I propose we alternate rule sets every week. That way everybody has at least 50% of the time that they can complain about how things are run and it's fair to all!

I say we rotate the adminship between established trolls and give a weekly -/10 assessment

Sometimes it is best to not take the best course of action for the greater good.

It would've been a good concept if it were in the right hands.

Even then the hands change every month.

Maybe. Ingame nations get wiped too, some more than others.

I think its preferable for forums to have more Gmods than administrators.

Rules are necessary, and these aren't unreasonable.

Are we going back to the exact same rules before, or a middle point between now and then?

We just looked at the old rules and edited and changed bits that were outdated or didn't really make sense.

We go back to that after V2 fails miserably. This is after all an Erep forum. :P
