Gibraltar has 29,000 people. That is not enough to count as a region.

Also the regions in the UK are based on the EU electoral divisions- since Gibraltar is not part of the UK for electoral purposes it is not included.

What benefit would it bring?  Just a tiny region we would neglect, it would be invaded and conquered by Spain and nobody would really care about bothering to get it back.

It would bring most needed borders to Marocco, Tunis, Algier, Corsica, Sicily, Malta and Crete.

Firstly, is Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria. Secondly those places don't exist. You might as well ask for them to add the British Indian Ocean territories so we can invade India. They're sexier anyway:

Incidentally, on this topic, they should include French Guiana. Its considered part of France proper and is actually part of the European Union.

EDIT: as well as the islands of Martinique, Guadeloupe, and Réunion. All have the same legal status as a region of Metropolitan France and as such are EU territory.

Should we not have what's left of our shattered empire like the falkland islands? It would stabilise britain and provide more regions for expansion out into the world we make little contact with, Falklands is istuated in relative proximity to Venezuela which has high oil wealth and Gibraltar will provide conncetions with Southern Europe.
