The best mod for Civilisation 4?

I hated it. I just used the world map in the end - I hated how once I'd captured loadsa territories, I'd suddenly become unstable and lose 10 in one go. His world map was good, but my favourite mod was the WWII Pacific mod that shipped with the game. The guy who made it even bothered to model most of the units! IT WAS GLORIOUS

Haha, you can't manage your stability :P

You can actually have a large empire and keep it if you're police state, nationalist at war with everyone.

Then your populace turned against you?
Seems like the kind of thing that would happen!

EUIII works on PC, but it is terrible and terrible.

I enjoy a bit of world map. (But flower starting anywhere that isn't china or russia (Seriously japan gets raped hard)). My only gripe with huge maps is that late game, the AI can micro every single unit and city, while I get burnt out because managing 25 new tanks per day is just hard. And choppers and fighters will just blow your tiles up from every side with no possible defence.
