It's a 2 year course colleges do in England.  It's £2k per year and acts like the first 2 years at uni.  Classes are smaller, so more attention and guidance.

Also if you completely tank the first two years but still pass, those grades don't count towards your final grade if you go for the BSc.  It's just the final year grades that count then.

Depends on the degree and university, you want one of two things:
*A degree where the end jobs REQUIRES a degree & there is demand for it.
*A university with a great reputation in your field which will open doors.
Get both and you are set for life.

If you do miss these, you can do a conversion to something better though depending on the degree.

Its also important that you enjoy what you're studying.

Got a plan for what you will do with it? I know someone who did History at Cambridge and used it to get internships and a law conversion.

Surprisingly (or not!), I have largely the same plan at the minute; get internships to see if I could actually see myself doing law, and if so then go to Law school in the US at USC, (University of Southern California), where my dad works so I would get partially free tuition.

If that doesn't appeal, probably become a writer of some sort, whether that's journalism, script-writing or whatever I don't know.

Or BANKING! My brother is an investment fund manager and apparently has contacts at Morgan Stanley who could hook me up with work experience/internships.

So yeah, I basically have no clue. Contacts are evidently helpful though with that aspect - they keep options open to a certain extent.
