Which party are you voting for in the General Election?

Postby 70mD » Sun Jan 03, 2010 9:39:48 pm

Or which party would you vote for it you could (Ie under 18, not British etc.)

My vote would go to the Tories, David Cameron isn't perfect, but he's better than Brown, Clegg and Griffin put together.

I'm drawing a cock on the ballot paper and being done with it. I hope they don't misinterpret it as a vote for Cameron though.

You should help me form the "Heckling Party". Our one and only goal would be to heckle every single other party as much as possible. This would entail calling them names, and creating amusing songs about them that we can sing during debates etc.

I would vote for the Tories (if I was old enough) but that dithering fool Cameron needs to make his liberal mind up about where he stands on Europe. UKIP would be my alternate choice.

Yeah UKIP would be my second choice, not sure they've really got anything in order though to be properly prepared if they got elected.

UKIP would always have my vote in European Parliament elections. I don't think they're capable enough to form our government but I'd rather give my vote to them than anyone else.

Even though their fanbase is 99% old fogies :)

Liberal Democrats. This is the Liberal Moment, our chance to replace 13 years of that horrid aberration that is New Labour with an actual progressive party that doesn't pander to the right wing media.

Cam anyone justify why Cameron is good? He's a blithering idiot who simply reneges on every promise he ever makes; he has an incoherent, illogical and immoral economic policy; and he's more concerned about public image than actually doing anything substantive. I really hope those votes are from people under 18...

Labour have had their chance, anyone who's seen what they've done since '97 and still chooses to vote for them is clearly missing something.

Cameron is ok, he's a nice guy. And it's not as if all politicians aren't popularist to some extent. Like I said before, he's the lesser of the evils.

Tories are are always best for the economy, and at a time when our economy needs help they're a very safe bet.

I'm a member of the Tories, but I'm at odds with most of the party because I care far too much about civil rights and freedom in general. I do think Cameron is getting somewhere near the right track in terms of his economic policy but I can't really abide him. I will be supporting the Conservatives, though -- if nothing else because I think too long a stint in power corrupts any party, but also because I dislike Labour's economic policy very much, and out of the three realistic choices the Tories have it closest to the target.

I'm still deciding whether to vote Lib Dem, a socialist candidate or not vote at all in protest. The Lib Dems keep on making it harder for me to give them any support.

This already exists. It's called political satire. You can find it on the television and Radio 4 on Friday evenings.
